Service Improvement Manager - Care & Support
Salary: £39,587 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Tottenham Hale, London, N17
Are you an experienced leader in the Care & Support sector looking for an exciting opportunity to drive service excellence? We are seeking a dedicated Service Improvement Manager to join a well-established organisation committed to delivering high-quality care and support services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone passionate about service improvement, quality assurance, and operational excellence. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance while supporting frontline teams to maintain and achieve outstanding service ratings. This hybrid position involves hands-on management of services when required, conducting audits, and leading quality enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular quality audits and service improvement reviews.
- Assist in the setup of new services and contribute to tendering processes.
- Support underperforming services with improvement action plans.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and best practice standards.
- Lead on policy and procedure updates to enhance service delivery.
- Deliver training and workshops to frontline staff.
- Line manage and supervise staff, including performance management.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including families, local authorities, and professionals.
- Contribute to strategic projects within the care and support department.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Proven leadership experience within the Care & Support sector.
- Strong knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and complex needs.
- Experience in managing and improving services for vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to drive change management and enhance service quality.
- Familiarity with care regulations, funding mechanisms, and legal frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong IT and report-writing skills.
- A proactive, collaborative, and problem-solving mindset.
Desirable:
- Experience managing budgets and financial performance.
- Understanding of co-production and service-user involvement.
- Knowledge of digital transformation in care settings.
- Passion for assistive technology and high-quality accommodation for service users.
