Job Description
Become a Role Model and Make a Difference in Children's Lives in Hampshire!
Do you have a passion for working with children and young people and want to make a meaningful difference in their lives? If so, Hampshire County Council is looking for compassionate Children's Support Workers in Basingstoke.
As a Children's Support Worker, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the children in our care, helping them to develop, grow, and achieve positive outcomes. Working within our Model of Care - Pillars of Parenting, you'll focus on each child's individual strengths and provide the stability and encouragement they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build warm, positive, and strong relationships with the children, providing a supportive, child-centered approach.
- Serve as a role model for children, supporting them in achieving personal goals and developmental milestones.
- Work directly with children and young people in a shift-based role, which includes weekends and sleep-in duties.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing environment that promotes each child's well-being and development.
About the Role:
- You will work a flexible shift pattern that includes weekends and sleep-in duties (additional enhancements apply for evening, weekend, and sleep-in shifts).
Why Join Us?
At Hampshire County Council, we are committed to supporting and developing our staff. We offer:
- On-the-job training and career progression opportunities
- 24-27 days paid holiday, based on your length of service with the local authority
- Confidential Employee Support for you and your immediate family, with 24/7 counseling and advice available
- Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme with employer contributions
If you're ready to take on a rewarding role that truly impacts the lives of children, we'd love to hear from you.
