Children Residential Worker
Short Break Service for Children with disabilities
Bristol
Salary £22,279
We have an excellent opportunity to join a charity as a Children`s short breaks Support Worker in Bristol / South Gloucester.
You will be working with children who have disabilities such as autism, physical disabilities, and complex needs. Full training will be provided.
Your main duties will be providing fun breaks for the children who live at home the rest of the time. They stay at the service on a short-term basis, from a night to a few days.
The home provides a fun, exciting and positive atmosphere for the young people who stay there. This role will may involve some personal care, manual handling, providing 1-1 or 2-1 support, taking the children out on day trips and to activities such as swimming, bowling, going to the park and cinema.
You will be providing a warm and supportive environment where the young people can develop their independence.
This is a very rewarding and fun position.
Working days are between Mondays to Sunday (36 hours per week).
Week days 2pm - 10pm.
Weekends 8.30am - 10pm, 8.30am - 3pm or 2pm - 10.00pm.
Qualifying Candidates
- Ideally Experience working with young people/ children with disabilities
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willing to complete after probation
- A driver desirable (due to the location of the service)
