Support Worker for Women in Need
£12.56 - £13 per hour | Day and Night Shifts Available
We are seeking dedicated and empathetic Support Workers to join our team, supporting women who have experienced domestic violence, homelessness, or substance misuse. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable women, helping them rebuild their futures and live independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide practical and emotional support to women who have faced complex challenges, including domestic violence, homelessness, and substance misuse.
- Assist with daily living activities, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and other aspects of independent living.
- Offer guidance on managing health, well-being, and accessing support services.
- Empower women to regain confidence and skills, fostering independence and resilience.
- Maintain professional boundaries while creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for the women we support.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a support worker role, particularly with individuals who have experienced domestic violence, homelessness, or substance misuse, is preferred but not essential.
- Empathy, understanding, and a passion for supporting vulnerable women.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts.
