Job Description

Join Our Team at Brook Street Social Care!Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals? Brook Street Social Care is looking for dedicated professionals to fill various roles within our Homeless Hostels and Support Services, Mental Health Support Services, Domestic Violence Support Services, and Substance Abuse Services.

Available Positions:

  • Support Worker (SW): Manage caseloads, develop support plans, and conduct risk assessments.
  • Assistant Support Worker (ASW): Provide essential support to SWs without managing individual caseloads.
  • Specialist Support Worker (SSW): Lead support groups and one-on-one sessions focused on substance abuse rehabilitation, with potential on-call responsibilities.
  • Tenancy Sustainment Officer (TSO): Assist the team primarily with tenancy issues, housing concerns, and arrears management.

Shift Patterns:

We operate on a two-week rolling rota with flexible hours:

  • Weekdays: Early (07:30 - 16:00), Late (11:30 - 21:00), Night (21:00 - 07:30)
  • Weekends: Early (07:30 - 14:30), Late (14:00 - 21:00), Night (21:00 - 07:30)

Compensation:

  • Days: £13.00 per hour | Nights: £13.50 per hour

Requirements:

To be considered for these roles, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar service or setting.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Mandatory training in First Aid, Naloxone usage, and Needle and Syringe Program (NSP).
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently.
  • Enhanced DBS check required (preferably registered on the update service).
