Brook Street Social Care is excited to announce openings for dedicated female Support Workers in a serene community setting in Thornbury. We are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment for our service users, where your role will be essential in providing personal care and support.
Role Overview
As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supported living. Your responsibilities will include managing personal care and administering medication safely, ensuring that all health and safety protocols are followed. You will support residents with daily tasks, helping them engage in activities such as crafting, cooking, baking, and gardening, while also assisting with any healthcare needs.
Each day will bring unique challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. Your efforts will foster a nurturing atmosphere that promotes social interaction and personal growth within our community.
Key Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A minimum of 6 months experience in a social care environment.
- Medication administration training and personal care training, which are crucial for ensuring the highest standard of care.
- Availability for common shifts from 17:30 to 22:00 (4.5 hours) daily, with additional weekend shifts from 07:30/09:30 to 22:00.
- A driving license is preferred but not necessary.
- A DBS on the update service is desirable but can be discussed regarding new applications.
