Job Description

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in our residential care. Our aim is to empower them to reach their full potential, fostering resilience and independence. We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Children's Support Workers.

Role Overview

As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the lives of the children in our care. You will provide emotional and practical support, helping them navigate daily challenges while promoting their well-being and personal development. Your positive influence will help create a home-like atmosphere where every child feels valued and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and educational support.

  • Develop positive relationships with children and act as a trusted mentor and role model.

  • Implement individualised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

  • Facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and personal growth.

  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment that encourages children to express themselves freely.

  • Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any changes in behaviour or well-being.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care practices.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a care setting is preferred

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential childcare an advantage.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with children from diverse backgrounds.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • A valid [relevant qualifications or certifications, e.g., DBS check, first aid certification] is desirable.
