Registered Respite Manager

Location: Short breaks service, Northamptonshire
Salary: c. £25.00 per hour
Employment Type: 3 months fixed term contract - Full-Time

Are you a compassionate and skilled professional looking to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities?

Join a dedicated team as the registered respite manager for a Short Breaks Service offering residential respite for children aged 4-18 years with autism, complex health needs, and/or complex behaviour.

About the service: The service is Ofsted and CQC registered, offering parents and carers the opportunity to recharge their batteries, knowing their child is in a safe and stimulating environment. Their priority is putting children first, ensuring they can enjoy their childhood despite their complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the respite home.
  • Ensure a highly structured and safe environment for children.
  • Develop and implement person centred care plans.
  • Lead and support a team of skilled staff, including nurses.
  • Engage children in activities that promote their well-being and happiness.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted and CQC regulations.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a similar role within a residential care setting.
  • Level 5 qualification.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to make clinical decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the service.
