Salary: £50,596 - £56,759

We're seeking a dynamic and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our children's residential care home in Formby. In this pivotal role, you'll create a nurturing, supportive environment where children and young people can thrive, develop, and achieve their potential.

What You'll Be Doing:

As the Registered Manager, you'll take the lead in ensuring our home is a safe, welcoming space for every child in our care. Reporting to the Children's Service Lead, your responsibilities will include:

Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and manage a dedicated team of carers, providing direction, guidance, and support.
• Drive performance by nurturing a positive environment that maximizes staff potential.
• Ensure the home operates in full compliance with relevant policies and legislation.

Care Delivery:

• Provide high-quality, therapeutic care and advocacy for children and young people.
• Ensure the staff team has the skills and resources needed to deliver exceptional care.
• Act as a role model for others in delivering child-centered care.

Compliance & Governance:

• Lead the home through regulatory inspections, maintaining high standards in line with Ofsted requirements.
• Oversee robust care practices, safeguarding procedures, and medication management.
• Ensure thorough and accurate record-keeping to maintain regulatory compliance.

Collaboration & Partnerships:

• Build strong working relationships with local authorities, parents, and other key stakeholders.
• Participate actively in leadership and operational management meetings to contribute to the overall direction of the service.

Safeguarding & Health & Safety:

• Serve as the designated safeguarding lead, ensuring the wellbeing of every child.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are met, and that the home is a secure, well-maintained environment.

Who We're Looking For:

Qualifications & Experience:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (essential).
• Extensive experience in children's residential care, including management and supervision (essential).

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of child development, Children's Homes Regulations (2015), and therapeutic approaches.
• Proven leadership abilities and the capacity to manage challenging behaviours positively.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT, with experience in report writing.
