OFSTED Registered Manager

Birmingham, UK

£45000 (plus on call and bonus opportunity)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the residential care home.

  • Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and maintain high standards of care.

  • Lead and manage a team of care staff, providing guidance and support.

  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.

  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of care practices.

  • Engage with children and young people to promote their well-being and development.

  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure sustainability.

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with families, stakeholders, and external agencies.

  • Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for OFSTED inspections and reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Managerial qualification for children's residential services.

  • Experience in a managerial role within a residential care setting.

  • Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficient in developing care plans and conducting assessments.

  • Financial acumen to manage budgets effectively.

  • Ability to build relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

  • Empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
