Job Description

Early Years Practitioner Level 3
Pay £14.00 per hour
Location: Failfield
Contract: 3 months (with opportunity for permanent)

We are excited to announce an opportunity to be part of our team at a secure service in Gloucestershire. You'll be ensuring the well-being of both mothers and their children, all while navigating the unique challenges of a prison setting. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of families and have the skills to support early childhood development, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support interventions for children aged 0-2 years, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Plan and deliver a range of stimulating activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Monitor and document children's progress, ensuring their feelings and wishes are represented in record keeping.
  • Be vigilant regarding child protection and safeguarding issues, reporting concerns to appropriate line managers as per our safeguarding policies.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote positive outcomes for mothers and their children.
  • Support mothers in developing parenting skills and emotional resilience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above (Ofsted requirement).
  • Previous experience working in a nursery setting with children aged 0 to 5 years.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively and maintain professional relationships.
  • Ability to focus on the child's needs and represent their feelings and wishes
