Job Description

Brook Street Social Care are delighted to be working with an excellent charity and social enterprise within Congleton.

We have an exciting full time opportunity for a Maternity Cover - Service Manager to join a supported accommodation service in Congleton. This is a maternity cover opportunity to run until 2026.
We are seeking an individual who is able to motivate a team, is flexible, has great communication skills and is capable of enhancing an already successful service delivery.

As a Service Manager you be expected to successfully manage and oversee 2 supported accommodation services within the area, supporting adults with mental health, substance misuse care and complex needs of all levels, providing housing and intensive support to individuals throughout the borough who have experienced prolonged or repeated periods of sleeping on the streets in addition to other life challenges. Providing a comfortable community home for ten people to develop their confidence and independence skills.

You will provide leadership, managing this service and our brilliant teams with care, compassion, and kindness, using trauma informed approaches, keeping the people that we support at the centre of service delivery.

For this role, we are seeking an individual who will embed the service's ethos and values into practice and seek opportunities to achieve positive change and creative approaches to support individuals to achieve their aspirations and independence.

To be successful for this position, you must hold first hand face to face experience as a support worker as well as having recent experience within a management role in social care for at least 2/3 years.

Ideally, you will hold a Level 3 NVQ Qualification within Health and Social Care or Children and Young People.
