Make a Difference: Part-Time Housing Support Worker - Burton Upon Trent
Brook Street Social Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Housing Support Worker to join a leading national charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable adults at risk of homelessness.

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals facing challenging circumstances. You'll be part of a supportive team working across two sites in Burton Upon Trent, providing vital support to help service users build independent lives and reintegrate into the community.

- Competitive Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 PRO RATA
- Flexible Hours: 24 hours per week, 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts on a rota basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred support to service users, ensuring their needs are met and their well-being is prioritised.
- Implement clear risk assessments and adhere to the organisation's Health & Safety Policy.
- Maintain accurate records, including support plans, risk assessments and regular checks.
- Assist service users with tenancy management and life skills development.
- Empower individuals to become self-sufficient and contribute positively to society.
- Report any safeguarding concerns in line with policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting individuals to sustain tenancies and manage their lives independently.
- Proven track record of working with vulnerable adults experiencing homelessness or substance misuse.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine commitment to helping others.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Transferable skills from related fields, such as criminal justice, children and young people's services, or care work.
