Job Description

Female Residential Support Worker's (Driver)

Contract: zero hours/agency

Pay rate: From £11.44 - £14 (PAYE)

Holiday pay is separate, NOT inclusive of your hourly pay. i.e. £12 + holiday pay

Brook Street Social Care support a wide range of clients from adults with learning disabilities, elderly individuals, children and young people, within hostels, with homelessness and individuals with mental health issues. Within all areas, you will be encouraged to promote independence and aid with fulfilling life skills, providing high-quality care and support to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

We predominately work with organisations who support adults with learning disabilities and therefore, it is essential you're a driver with access to your own vehicle and happy to undertake personal care.

We work based on your weekly availability to aim to provide you with the best flexibility we can in correspondence with our clients' needs. We also do this to provide continuity for both you and the individuals you would be supporting where at all possible. In addition, we aim is to keep work as local to you as possible however we cover all of Wales so this is entirely your choice.

Requirements:

  • 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
  • Willing to undertake personal care
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
