Job Description

We have an exciting career opportunity to work with one of our key clients based in Leeds. This is a secure environment that supports the individual needs of the children and young people in their care. Providing placements for ages 10 -18 years old with full residential care, educational facilities, and healthcare provision.

You will have a minimum 2 years' experience of working with young people and a Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People or equivalent is advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

  • Basic Pay - £26,421 (Average earning including Secure Allowance £32,482)
  • Hours - Average 37 hours per week. A mixture of early and late shifts and sleep-ins.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Help to create a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for young people.
  • Build trusting relationships, understanding young people's needs and interests.
  • Provide primary care that is responsive to individual needs.
  • Manage behaviour and develop strategies for longer term progress.
  • Plan and organise activities to enhance young people's experiences day to day and for special occasions.
  • Nurture each child's personal development, their education and wider learning

You will need

  • A passion for working with children and young people
  • The ability to work in a challenging and changing environment
  • A resilient and "can do" mindset
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and work compassionately with our young people
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
